St Luke's Church, South Oxford
Brief: Create new church garden following extensive structural renovation of building. Low maintenance space required with large lawn for play and functions, and smaller 'Quiet Garden' for relaxing. Path and corner garden garden laid with gravel and bordered with granite setts. 'Quiet Garden' planted with bamboo hedge, living willow arch and scented climbers. Cut log stepping stones lead to living willow dome. Borders planted with climbing Hydrangia, Carex morrowii and Cornus 'Midwinter Fire', contrasting with black perimeter fence. Ongoing maintenance has included the addition of an apple espalier, additional planted border in the top corner, and weaving of the living willow structures.
